Vittoria Mezcal 29 (rigid bead)
Vittoria Mezcal 29 (rigid bead)
The Vittoria Mezcal is one of Vittoria's fastest XC tires and is becoming increasingly common on gravel bikes with clearance for 29x2.10: it rolls almost like a gravel tire on hard-packed tracks, but with the volume and grip of an MTB tire when the trail gets rough.
Its tread pattern combines a center strip of small, closely spaced knobs, which reduces rolling resistance and performs very well on asphalt and hard-packed tracks, with more pronounced side knobs that hold the bike in corners on loose dirt and gravel.
This is the rigid bead version (wire bead), for use with inner tubes: an economical and durable option for training, daily use, or as a spare tire.
Recommended use: fast gravel with rough sections, mixed routes, and XC on dry terrain.
Size equivalency (ETRTO):
- 29x2.10 = 52-622
Before mounting a 2.10" tire on your gravel bike, check the tire clearance of your frame and fork.
