📍 Navarra · UNESCO Biosphere Reserve
The Bardenas Reales is a semi-arid landscape declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The quintessential gravel destination in northern Spain: eroded earth formations, constant wind, and trails that take you to another planet. A radical contrast to the greenery of the Basque Country and Navarra.
It is an ideal destination for gravel due to its compact dirt tracks and spectacular desert landscapes.
These are wide, fast dirt paths, perfect for a gravel bike.
The Bardena Blanca is quite flat, with gentle climbs and moderate elevation gain if you are not looking for high-mountain routes.
