Cazoletas de aluminio anodizado y rodamientos de bolas pequeñas. Según Shimano, es 14 g más ligera y tiene un 50 % menos de rozamiento que la SM-BB6700. Elige rosca inglesa (BSA 68 mm) o italiana (ITA 70 mm).
